On 24^th.May in Waldbröl town hall the Rhein-Sieg-Eisenbahn GmbH (RSE Ltd.) signed mutual lease agreements, similar to the existing contract with Wiehl, with the local authorities of Reichshof and Morsbach as well as with the town of Waldbröl for their respective areas of the Wiehltalbahn to govern the rights and duties of RSE as a railway infrastructure company. Also, as the Fundraising Group for the Preservation of the Wiehltahlbahn, we are co-operative partners with RSE. Together with us the RSE is now responsible, under the contract, for the maintenance of the railway between Osbergshausen, Wiehl, Denklingen, Waldbröl and Morsbach and also has the right to use and operate the railway. The contracting parties have agreed unanimously that the wiehltalbahn now has a secure future and everyone concerned aims to incorporate the Wiehltalbahn into the tourism opportunities for the area.

Two or three years ago few would have thought that what appears so simply here would have been possible.
