Subsequently, the dilapidated bridge beams of the track grid were removed by the track construction company Hundhausen from Siegen. In this process, all the cover plates between the rails were removed (the screw connections all had to be brazed off).

The rails have been cut. The damaged sleepers are clearly visible.

After that, the two previously cut rails were replaced by construction rails and then the old beams were removed from the bridge.

The two-way excavator prepares the installation of the construction rails and the dismantling of the old beams.
