Draisine rides at Waldbröl station (Rhineland)

The "Society for the Preservation of the Wiehl Valley Railway (Förderkreis zur Rettung der Wiehltalbahn e.V.)" welcomed about 100 visitors to its premises at Waldbröl railway station on the "Open Monument Day" on September 11th, 2022. A photo exhibition on the subject of the Wiehl Valley Railway and the former Waldbröl state railway station provided plenty to talk about among the visitors. Some older visitors still remembered journeys with the trains of the German Federal Railway to Morsbach and into the wide world. The former station restaurant with its nationally active skat team and the visit of the special train 'Thick Sauerländer (Dicker Sauerländer)' to Waldbröl and Morsbach were also topics of conversation.
